IN A NUTSHELL !
Being successful with home brewing begins with 90% preparation and 10% for the rest of the home brew process. Home Brewing is relatively simple to do and richly rewarding. Brewing beer involves mixing malt, hops (optional), brewing sugar and water to create a grainy, sugary liquid called the “Wort”. Then a fungus (yeast) is added to the wort. We allow a period of time to pass and we end up with a flat, warm liquid that doesn`t smell or look like beer at all. Finally, we mix this warm, flat beer liquid with a bit more brewing sugar (called priming) and we bottle it. The bottles are then stored in a cool dark place to mature for a minimum of a few weeks. A longer period is recommended giving the brew time to mature. Generally the longer the brew matures the finer and more flavorsome the taste. A few months is good.
