Why should I brew beer, when I can buy beer at stores?
Well this question is rather open ended as there are lots of good answers to this; The first and most obvious answer is “u do it” yourself. This is a fun and exciting way to get a brew exactly the way you like it to taste (of course you need to experiment with it to get the taste just right) but as in any craft industry this is where the enjoyment comes from.
The types and varieties of tastes and aromas are endless, only restricted by your own imagination and your brewing techniques.
Your brew kit is a one off cost because the equipment will be used for many years. You only have to purchase the ingredients to make each extra batch of delicious beer. This make it cheaper and you get more beer as well.
The greatest enjoyment is that the beer is made by you and the satisfaction feels great. Have your friends over for an evenings beer, it’s a great talking point on how YOU created this unique brew.
What type of water needs to be used for brewing?
Ordinary tap water can do provided it is not contaminated or over chlorinated. Please observe the quality of the water by smell / odour / colour. before every brew because this will effect your beer. Filtered water is a great choice if you have a filtering device. Some people even use bottled water however this can be a little expensive.
The best method to determine the water issue is to try making a brew with your tap water and if this tastes good then that’s your answer. At the end of the day you are the Brewmaster so you get to pick how you want your beer made.
Can I make beer for sale purposes?
You may not sell such home brewed product to anyone without the relevant license. For further information on the relevant license please consult the relevant authorities in your location.
Remember that the whole purpose of your brewing is that it is for your enjoyment and it is your hobby.
